made it for a friend...its nothing special but since I spent so long with him trying to make it to his liking I decided to post it...

ok well for what this is i think it needs a few changes. if its a logo then wil it be in many sizes? because when the logo is small you lose the note. maybe try a stroke, different color?
when i look at the note and i look at the circular background it looks strange because i see those colors on them as high lights and shadows. if they are highlights and shadows then you have two different light sources. the shadows shoul dbe in the same place in praportion with the light source.
try maybe making the shadows and or hightlights come from the same direction.
for this logo i would say as far as subject its good but it could be better.
i understand your doing what your friend wants.
