Hi. I have used PS v. 3.0.5 for many years and I have never needed or wanted anything more. And I still don't.
That said, PS v. 305 works fine under XP with 512MB RAM. But when I increase it with another stick of the exact same type and brand, it reports that "there is not enough RAM to launch Photoshop." If I take the extra stick out, it works fine again. This is stupid. How do you fix this? I have tried uninstailling and reinstalling with the increased RAM.
There is only one .ini file in the Prefs folder and changing the virtual memory settings in that has no effect. There has to be a way to tell PS 305 that its okay if the computer its running on has more than 512MB of RAM.
Is anyone familiar with this problem?
Thank you. |

I also use Photoshop 3.05 and I just got a new computer with Windows XP and 1 GB RAM. I get the same "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch Photoshop" error. I see your original post is a couple weeks old. Have you been able to find a solution to the problem? |
