Let's say I import a PNG or some other type of image with transparency to it. Let's say for this example, it's a pic of snake, isolated, everything around it is transparent. How do I make it so that the marching ants are marching around the snake? |

hi,
there several different ways....
1. the simplist ... take your magic wand and set the tolorance setting..
then click on the transparen area and then do a select>inverse ... voila the snake is now selected...
2. you can use the magnetic lasso..... to select the snake
3. if you have it you can use the quick selection tool and use the refine edge tool to make a selection or a mask ...
plus there alot of variation on the above |

hi,
your welcome...
but you'll find that every image has it own set of difficulties which requires knowing different way to select... this time the magic wand works fine but another image and you may find a different technique/tool is required....
so it important to know a lot of different techniques to select a object...
well anyway you have a good day and good weekend.... |
