You don't sound like a lunatic!!!! YOU ARE WONDERFUL for helping me. I am learning more on here than the various books I've been reading.

I messed around until I found the blend it mode and separated the two black triangles using the mouse and holding down the option key (I have a MAC).... but nothing happens when I have my flower up (a digital photo I took at 8 mpxls.)...
I open the flower, go to "filter", select "blur" and ... then ... I chose a brush, and scrubbed, but nothing happened. Then, I tried going to layer style, but nothing blurred.
I sure hope you don't give up on me.

"I chose a brush, and scrubbed",???
The blur is under the filters > blur > Gaussian Blur..no brushes are used in this sample...
Ok you have the middle picture highlighted, you have the top layer eye turned off (otherwise you can't see the middle layer) and you add a big time gaussian blur to the middle layer(see attached shot).
Make sure your layers look like the attached shot...
Then you go to the top layer and do the blend if stuff.

Well, I didn't have my flower in the browser. I guess you have to have your image in the browser before you can do anything. Here is my "glowing daffodil".... I messed up a little in the center....
thanks!!!

Gracias, JB
