mac pselements files won't save or edit on my PC

Greetings evey and anyone! B-4 becoming disabled i had used PS and quark express and bunchesof other publishing softwares in my career. so i am truly mystified as to why i can't resolve the following:Got a buddy who needs me to open and save a Mac PS elements jpg. file in CMYK as TIFF ON MY pc PLATFORM RUNNING ps 6.0 i can open it but when i try to convert mode to CMYK frpm RGB or even just resave it as a PC PLATFORM FILE, MY ps JUST GOES INTO 'not responding status. i've tried 'imageconverter plus to make it friendly with my pc. All this despite the fact that any PS image file should be crossplatform friendly and universal. Any ideas friends?! i'm thinking maybe it's just that the PS Elements program has goofy mac resource forks not similar to what they would be in a 'full- blown PS environment. or maybe it's just thatmy pal'smac burning cd is not as clean as it should be to open unfettered on a PC? Heee-ellp!! Bawling

Hey i would try copying the file to the hard disk before trying to edit it.
The mac* to pc issue should not be a problem with a jpeg file.
If your desperate you could try using print screen or snipping tool in windows 7 to get a copy off the screen.
You can also use event viewer in control panel to check the error codes occurring in your applications in case its a PS issue and not a file format problem.

*As soon as i typed the word mac (on my pc) my mp3 player started to scramble and then played white zombie super charger heaven which starts with the words 'I know the supernatural isn't something thats supposed to happen but it does happen' LOL
