I like the idea of the judge being the client. Makes it fair across the board. _________________ There are Elvis people and there are Beatles people. I am a Billy Joel people...
Yeah this sounds cool,Im in,but we need to now the size of the label we are making,like the dimensions.
If we're designing a logo, it shouldn't have specific dimensions. Part of the challenge of logo design is that it has to be something that scales easily to look good on anything from a business card to the side of a truck.
Some companies, such as IBM, have several versions of their logo (or logotype) for different media (in IBM's case, they vary in number of stripes through the letters - for some media, there are no stripes at all). Even so, they all have to look similar enough that people identify them as the same design.

yeah, im new to the forums, and im not a veteran photoshop junkie, but i have some experience, ill gladly judge though, i just gotta get a feel for the forums aroudn here

If you want someone who is not entering the contest to be a judge, I could do so. I new to the forums, don't have any friendships with anyone, or loyalties, etc to bias my judgement.
