This cant be true.. I installed over 2000 fonts on my system.. and now photoshop only reads up to F in my fonts.. so i call up tech support and they say they can only log up to 600 fonts in photoshop.. Does any one know any way around this? is this only a mac issue? Its truely annoying RARR!

I don't know about macs, but I have about 2000 fonts on multiple pc computers and it works fine. Adobe tech support wouldn't lie to you though. Sounds like a mac issue. I think TiDal uses macs. Do you have more than 600 fonts tidal?

You could try a font loader like Adobe Type Manager and then just load the fonts you need. Try googling for a hack to fix the problem. I'm sure you're not the first to run across it.

As far as I know PS7 only takes upto 600 it was my impression that PS CS took 1000 (maybe more).

Get a type manager, Adobe has a version of their typemanager for free on their website www.adobe.com/products/atmlight/main.html

I like to have lots of fonts at my disposal for my picky clients :-)

As a flexographic printer (years ago) i used to show the clients a PMS book to select the colours of their inks. Well this caused us to have dozens of half empty ink tins on the shelf. A real waste of money.

Having learnt from this, when I turned to graphic design I showed by clients a limited number of options and that included font faces. It didn't affect my business one iota.

Motto is: " What they don't see, they don't want"
