Hey.
I'm sure most of you have seen the lightning tutorial out there. You use Gradient than Difference Cloud and adjust the levels.
However, I need to use this affect on a very large canvas (24 inches x 8 inches) and the Difference Cloud filter makes the clouds too small. If there anyway to solve this?
Thanks,

Quickest way is to do a Google search on lightning brushes and download then install them into photoshop. Then all you do is use the air brush tool with the lightning selected, stamp your canvas and be done with it.
As far as a different way to do the difference clouds without having them look to small, I'm stumped. Perhaps one of the other folks here who knows more about webdesign could help. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |

Try clicking-and-dragging the gradient different distances. Shorter distances will yield a straighter bolt, and longer distances will yield bizarre squiggles.
I wish there was a way to adjust the scale of the Clouds filter. You can always make the clouds smaller by using the High Pass filter, but there's no reverse operation that I know of. _________________ Interested in showcasing your special effects or learning some new ones from the masters? I am not familiar with the lightning tutorial. Can anyone tell me where that would be? Thanks. |
