Hey.

I'm sure most of you have seen the lightning tutorial out there. You use Gradient than Difference Cloud and adjust the levels.

However, I need to use this affect on a very large canvas (24 inches x 8 inches) and the Difference Cloud filter makes the clouds too small. If there anyway to solve this?

Thanks,
Drew

Quickest way is to do a Google search on lightning brushes and download then install them into photoshop. Then all you do is use the air brush tool with the lightning selected, stamp your canvas and be done with it.

As far as a different way to do the difference clouds without having them look to small, I'm stumped. Perhaps one of the other folks here who knows more about webdesign could help.

Try clicking-and-dragging the gradient different distances. Shorter distances will yield a straighter bolt, and longer distances will yield bizarre squiggles.

I wish there was a way to adjust the scale of the Clouds filter. You can always make the clouds smaller by using the High Pass filter, but there's no reverse operation that I know of.

I am not familiar with the lightning tutorial. Can anyone tell me where that would be? Thanks.
