|
|
Hey All,
I've got a question about getting a light ray effect. I know that the standard is to use the radial blur, etc, but thats not working out so well. I need rays going outward from my object(a european country). I would like the rays to be kinda sharp though, similar to the "Wind" filter. Or if I had put a really really bright light behind my object. Any ideas links to tutorials etc? I've dont some searching but havent found anything.
Thanks in Advance!

You should post the image, I'm sure there are people willing to take a crack at it.

Alright, here is the image. If anyone does try this, when posting a reply please tell me how you did it, not just the result. I have quite a few more things I would like to apply this effect to, so actually learning how is what I'm going for.
Thanks in Advance!

How stylised do you want the rays?
What colour is the background to be?
You can produce light rays with a ray shaped selection using the polygonal tool and the gradient tool quite easily.

You could download a Light Rays brush from the internet and use that? or is that not what you're looking for?
