Hello everyone,
When ı try to apply gradient map, as a view on layers palette ı have only layer thumbnail but not the layer mask thumbnail. Any fixing ideas??
On the tutorials ı see, when the autor clicks to apply gradient map, he has the 2 layer, one near the other.
Thanks, |

To create a layer mask, use the icon at the bottom of the layers panel (the one with the circle inside the rectangle). It will then create a layer mask next to the layer. Click on the layer mask then create your gradient on it. [ALT-click will put the layer mask as the main display]. The layer mask is used to "hide" parts of the attached layer - black invisible, gray semivisible, white visible. |

Thanks for replying but th problem still persists:
In the image file i attached, i have the view of layers palette as in the 1, and the 2 is the view i want to have.
I can't have the gradient map icon(the rectangle one as in the view2) and also no more layer mask on layers palette, there is only adjustment icon(the circle one as in the view1) view insted of the one for gradient map. hope to having detailed the problem. |
