I have archived a large number of files as jpegs in Photoshops 5.0.2.
I have tried to open them up in 9.0.2 (CS2) but they come up with the message "Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete).
They open up fine in 5.0.2. I have tried to load Photoshop 5.0.2 onto my MacBook but it states that I cannot because "Classic" is no longer supported.
Somebody is loading all the data onto media which I can use on the MacBook and he was able to open the files in CorelDraw.
I have rung Adobe who confirm that there is an incompatibility between 5.0.2 and 9.0.2 but offer no solution.
The same sort of thing has happened with all my archived correspondence which now has the definition .cwk, the old Claris Works definition but I can open those (one at a time!) using Pages in iWork.
Can anyone help, the archived images are a record of most of my life's design work, not worth anything but memories.
