Image resizing from Raw to JPG in DPP.
I normally “do not resize” my images from the 5D mk11, when creating my (high quality) jpgs (to work on them in photoshop) after first raw correction.
So they start life at 5616 x 3744 pixels. I do sometimes resize to 1000 pixels for web. The jpg then opens in photoshop at that resolution.
I have just had a thought that if I resize LARGER – to the max of 9999 x 6666. WOULD THAT INCREASE THE PICTURE QUALITY (or is it just spreading the pixels thinner), with no overall discernable increase in quality?
Also maybe should I be thinking of converting to a TIFF file, instead of jpg, for high end output? Or is the massive increase in file size, not really necessary? I am shooting portraits & wedding mainly.
I suspect not, but wonder if anybody has an opinion! |
