Hi all! I am learning photoshop and I really want to learn how to do stuff like the file that I attached.

I love how the picture is done, with the black and white, added color, layering of the letters, but I can't figure out on my own all the steps to make it happen for myself. Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Sara

you can get that effect a few ways one is to set photo to black and white (don't desaturate or greyscale but actually go b&w) then paint in your colours.

OR

you can make a layer copy, make the copy b&w then using your erase tool (and alot of zooming in Big Wink ) erase away the parts that you wish to have the colours appear through. Then add a text layer.. type in your text.. and using your styles menu add a drop shadow to your text

I know those were basic so if you need more of a step by step let me know.
