I want to know how to edit pictures like those in this blog: http://hit13r.tumblr.com/
They look kind of vintage and textured, so how do you do that? |

Aaargh what a general question with a million answers!
Ahh well here goes....
For tutorials try some of these, Vintage Effect or this one Polaroid Vintage or....
Go manual delve under the hood and tinker. You could go the channel mixer method and increase the Blue and constant (assuming you are in RGB) or you could go pure channels method and manipulate individual channels (my preferred method). As I say you could throw a hundred techniques at it.
Go plugin route, Alien Skin has a plugin called Exposure that replicates well known manufacturers settings.
Then of course there are the millions of actions and pre-sets available on-line from places like Adobe Exchange and a hundred privateers.
Search for glazed look, cross processing and the like. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

hi,
the images you posted, most of those are not considered vintage....
there a wide variety different styles and effects.... for example that star field is not a vintage image ... hense different techniques are involved...
now combining these two tutorials will help you withthat universe shot......
http://www.webdesign.org/photoshop/articles/make-a-realistic-star-field.3811.html
http://www.ehow.com/how_4531190_render-nebula-star-field-photoshop.html
it best if you post addressing just one or two kinds of effects/style or techniques... rather than covering a gauntlet of different kinds...
also suggest creating a seperate photoshop tutorial folder in your favorites to bookmark all the important tutorials and even saving the webpage (as mht) and videos.
