I've noticed this effect getting more and more popular, especially with movie, TV and band promo material. Can someone offer a small tutorial on how to do this or point me in the direction of a tutorial that already exists?





This one is a little more comic-y than the others but still a little interested in how this one was done too.

Thank you, thehermit, so much! Simply knowing what to call an effect makes a huge difference! haha.

For those who are interested in this effect and, for whatever reason, the link doesn't work for you (a common thing I have found in other forums). Just search Google for High Dynamic Range.
