Greetings fine photoshop people!
I'm messing around with actions and I've seen some where the action stops and asks you adjust a setting of a sort and then once done press play to continue.
I have an action that I made for a sequence of events to make a wallpaper. Now instead of clicking on new and filling in all the particulars I'd like to just play the action and have it stop at the New File box so I can enter a size. Then there is further down I change the hue, I'd like to have it stop and let me change it then play to finish the sequence.
Is this possible?? I have CS2.
Thanks for your help! |

Hi there
Yes this is possible and surprisingly easy to pull off! Create the action and include the 'new document' step. When you go through the 'new document' step make sure you enter the measurements you'd like to come up as default, then complete the rest of the action.
Once you've stopped recording you'll notice that the 'new document' step you've created has been recorded as 'make'. To the left of that you'll see 2 little input boxes, the first one will toggle the action step on or off. The second one will bring up the dialogue box belonging to the step when the action is played.
Hope this helps _________________ Matt
