also make sure that you are not pasting it into an file that is using the index color profile (gif) if that is what you are doing go to image>mode>rgb then you can copy paste and it will make it its own layer |

Select the image that you are wanting to copy from. Select your lasso tool (or any selection tool). Make your desired selection. Go to Edit>Copy. Now, click on your image that you want to paste into. Go to Edit>Paste. There you have it. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |

First of all WHY are you using cut and paste when Adobe has it's own abiltiy to transfer one OPEN photo TO another open photo within the same Photoshop workspace, JUST by using the move tool and pressing the shift key to center the photo you are moving if you want to (and the alt key if it the photo is on it's own background layer)??? I just gave you a simple way of doing it. No need for further explianation. _________________ Qubert |

Easy their qubert! As you well know, there are a good many ways to do any one thing in photoshop. It won't hurt to offer more than one suggestion on how to complete any one given task. This way, he'll (she'll?) learn more from one post, and/or find a method that they prefer or that they find easy to both remember and do! _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |
