|
|
Either that, or one that doesn't have black and white dots fidgeting around all the time. I'm easily distracted, and those things distract me.
And if you have time, I'd also appreciate some info about the Layer masks. I've just started using them, and I've seen artists on Ustream who can work on single colored flats on an entirely colored layer without touching areas with a different color than the one they're working on. How does one do that?
I've tried experimenting back and forth with the layer mask, but I've still got no clue.
Any info as to how I can manage this would be highly appreciated. |

If it was invisible, how would you know where it was? |

Okay, I guess having it invisible would be quite inconvenient in the long run. Having it appear like the line tool or similar would be preferable. Actually, anything not moving around at all would be preferable.
I know I can just use a layer mask, but I'm trying to reduce the amount of layers I use. Machine lags a bit even when I'm drawing only one character. I don't like thinking about how it'd be when drawing an entire page. |

So I take it there's no way of editing the marquee tool border dots into not moving around?
I'm very interested in this. As said, it's making the detail work confusing. |

can you stroke the selection as you work would that help you?
right click>stroke certain colors may hide it a bit for you |

As far as I know, stroking an area would not restrict my work to that area alone, so I don't think that would help, sorry. |

Actually, depending on what you are doing, you may be able to use a clipping mask. |

There is a way to stop the dots from 'wiggling'. They don't bother me, so I haven't looked it up, but it should be in the 'Help' somewhere.
You can make the edges invisible by clicking >View >Show >Selection Edges. Do it again, and the edges appear again.
