Hi and welcome to the forum tarana2000. The instructions for the tutorial are shared between versions of Photoshop, so no problem there.

Well thanks , but I tried quite a few times and I am stuck after point 4... the tutorials is for advanced users and I am unable to fathom how to go about it...
If someone can elaborate the steps I would be grateful... |

The tutorial asks you to Ctrl click on the thumbnail in the layers palette to bring up the selection (marching ants) then to save the selection in the channels tab. Navigate to the channels, perform the Gaussian blurs, with the selection still active invert it and then delete the selection, finally deselect (Ctrl+D)
