I am trying to superimpose my sons face onto a picture of Annikan Skywalker. I am looking to do it as smooth as possible. I can do it with a lasso tool and a simple cut and paste but I know there is a better way to do it but I forgot. I know there is a way to increase opacity on a layer or something like that...

I need to get the correct size of the faces so I can replace one with the other. Any help is greatly appreciated.

select the layer with the head of your son, then free transform it to the right size to go with the body, then you can start erasing the details with the eraser tool, but i guess it's better to use layer mask, apply to the layer with your son on it, and take a large soft brush, set forground color to black select the layer mask and start brushing, and change the size of the brush as you start working on the details, if you want to undo some of the brushing just go over the layer mask with a with color and it wil reappear, you can then adjust the color of the body or the head so that they match with each other, best way to do this is with color balance ctrl-b i think!

but if you want me to do it, i would love to! Big Wink

Brow Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try and then let you know how it worked. Also I really appreciate the offer to do it for me, that was awesome!
