Hi guys. I am having trouble with the quality of my logo. I had a professionally done one and I am trying to upload it to my website. Problem is they only accept .jpg .jpeg and .gif. Now I need it to have a transparent background so it blends with the header of the template, so I must upload it to the admin panel as .gif.

Now the problem is when I save it as a .gif in Adobe CS4 the quality gets butchered and it looks really choppy. This doesn't happen in .jpg or .jpeg mode.

Help!!

Thanks and much appreciated for reading.

Hi and welcome to the forum cantstop01. Perhaps you are not saving the GIF with enough colours, try including more colours, it could just be a dithering effect due to a limited palette.

Are you opening/editing it with Photoshop? (I presume so).

Just out of curiosity, what kind of web host do you have that won't allow PNG's or a million other formats.

Save for Web (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S) Does your settings look anything like this? Obviously settings will alter depending upon the image. Don't understimate the usefulness of pre-sets either

Thank you for the response.

My settings are as follows. After an hour experimenting it's the best setting I've found.

This problem has been solved, thank you for the help!

I ended switching the Matte to foreground color, and the diffusion to 75%, don't even really know what that means but it worked Lol.

Thanks!
