|
|
I'm working with the local police dept. making a pamphelt for our Identifying Child Exploitation program, and need some help.
I saved my work as .psd, now i want to save as .jpg. When I click "SAVE AS", in the file type drop down menu there are only the following choices(see attached picture)
I'd appreciate someone showing me why Photoshop will not allow me as a .jpg format.

You know what, I'm really not sure. Are you working in RGB? (You can check this by looking under Image>Mode.)
Try File>Save for Web, which has better compression options anyway, and see if it'll let you do jpgs.

Flatten your image. Go to Layer>Flatten Image (alt+L then press F). Now you can save your image as a jpeg. Photoshop doesn't like to save jpegs with layers.

I dunno steve, when I used PS 5, 6 and 7 I remember having to save jpgs after flattening, but it's not necessary in PS CS or CS2.
A fellow Abbotsfordian, eh? Do a good job 'cause I'll probably see one floating around some day!
