I suppose im definitely regarded as a newbie, but nevertheless I have a problem that I dont understand at all...I have Photoshop 7, had it for a while and I do picture editing and occasional design stuff...anyway so I recently went to add some text to a picture of mine and found myself very very confused. When I try to use the text tool at any time to put text into anything, the text definitely doesnt work right. I type and what im typing goes in, but the words are incredibly tiny...ive tried playing around with the font size, putting it to the maximum allowed size, and still the text is so small you can't read it, and the zoom is normal, everything is normal but the text is unbelievably tiny and you can't read it or anything...It ends up showing up as one or two black pixels side by side...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated this has annoyed me alot...thanks |

Then why don't you post this in the "beginners section"? To answer your question: have you actually selected your text when increasing the font size? Just like word you actually have to select your text when changing fonts or font size... |

Check to see what units your type is in, if it is in points try changing it to pixels. It does sound like you have a very small point size selected. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Sorry I didn't post it in the right place, this was the first general forum thing I found so I figured it would be fine...but anyway I've tried both of those things and I still have the same problem. I've typed in, selected the text, and changed the font size and its still soo tiny...and for the other suggestion I checked all that and changed it and there's still no difference...
Any futher suggestions would be greatly appreciated |

Okay well, I didnt quite fix the problem, but I found a way around it. I've just expanded the text horizontally and vertically by 1000%, and i use a font size of around 200...lol...so yeah thanks for all the suggestions guys, im just gonna stick with my overly enlarged text, it works...Thanks |

What resolution are you working in? It sounds like you're working in a much higher resolution. It should be 72 dpi. Are you having problems with other things besides text being really small as well? _________________ Best Regards,
