I decided that for my website it would be cool to go with a subtle look, perhaps pastel colors and such. My only problem is how to create graphics that go with this theme so I was wondering if people had ideas and if they could point me to tutorials that could help in case I can't do it. |

well its a site for my stuff (writing, art, etc...) But I want it to be pleasing to they eye, not flashy, just subtle other than that thats what i'm asking help for. |

since it is a site for your own stuff, how about using your own art as your graphics.... u can use photoshop to create graphics. i think what makes a sight pleasing to the eye has something to do with the background color...try using colors that are not so bright. coz bright colors can give people a headache. the font should also be simple and it's color should blend on the background. well, this what pleasing to the eye means for me.
