Hey guys, I'm new to using photoshop to edit Raw photos. I have a photo that I've edited in photoshop, the color profile was Adobe RGB while I edited it, so when I'm done I convert it to srgb first and then save it as a jpeg so I can send it to someone.
But when I open the jpeg on my or a different computer it is a lot darker than what it is suppose to be and I cannot figure out the reason for this.
Thanks for any help. |

Welcome to the forum. What colour profile is the computer you are viewing the darker image have? (do you see where I may be going with this...?) _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

I don't really know what you mean.
The computer I worked on the image is just a Dell laptop, then when I open the jpg in windows photo viewer or whatever or even a mac the jpg is darker than what the photo I was working on is.
I just read that it could be that the laptop screen is not calibrated, so while the image I'm working on looks ok to me in actuality it is much darker..So this is the reason why its darker on the Mac too since that's not calibrated..? |

hi
although there can be several reasons... the first one come to mind is the monitor
it gamma, brightness and contrast settings are different than your other...
they can effect not only brightness but also color intensity ...
i imagine if you were to edit a image on that machine and then take it to the other it probably would be too bright...!! |
