I mean is it useful in enlarging images or will the photoshop image>size enlarge a photo just as well.

Do you recommend any other plug in for image enlargement?

Like all/most enlargement routines, they are useful to a lesser/greater degree. Better for pure web use and less so for print use. Better to get it right first time of asking or source better originals. Needs must when the devil and all that....

Best thing to do is get a demo and try it for yourself and then compare them to other programs that do the same thing. Judge for yourself after that.
