is it possible?
is there anyway of having a grid or at least guidline in photoshop that are at an angle and not only vertical and horizontal (90 degrees angle).

personally I'd be tempted to put on a grid, take a screenshot, crop the screenshot down to the gridded canvas and rotate it.
easiest way to g about that:
get a screenie of a white canvas with a grid of the appropriate size. crop it down to include just the gridded canvas. Some lines are thicker than others. At one corner crop outside a thick line, at the opposite corner crop inside. you want it to be able to tile nicely.
grab the magic wand tolerance zero, AA and contiguos unchecked, and delete the white.
Now drag to you other image you're working on. Rotate to desired angle. Then start copying the layer until it fills the who;e canvas.
(then obviously you can flatten the grid layers)
should slook something lke my pic.
ctrl-clcik on the layer and fill with a different colour if you need a different colour of grid.

yeah, i thougth that it'll probably come down to a 'trick'. i was thinking about the same thing before i posted i was just hoping there might be some photshop feature hidden somewhere that would do the trick for you 
They should put an option like this in the next release. If not for gridlines they should let you at least add guidelines at an angle. I think CorelDraw! let's you do that.

it shuldn't be this way, but in computers it's often easier and faster to just just find a workaround rather than actually fixing the problem.
One more thought:
if corelDraw lets you do that, is there any way you could export paths from coreldraw into illustrator format and load them into PS to get them. Except that guides aren't paths and there's probably no way to export them.

There has got to be a way..my work around has always been to use the measure tool. On a blank layer, I make a starting dot with the brush, then I use the measure tool to get the angle and distance right then press B and click to place the end point...connect the line and I have my guide..
i make as many as I need on that layer..

SOunds good, but there again it's not technically a guide, just a layer that serves a similar purpose.
Is there any way to type in the desired engle with the measure tool, or do you just move it until the status bar says the angle you want?

I just move it until the staturs bar says the angle I'm looking for.
