First of all I'm totally familiar with how to load fonts. This is a puzzle I'm hoping someone can solve for me. I have PS6 on another machine. There is a set of fonts there that I need on my other machine to be loaded into PS7. Now here is the puzzle. I can see the fonts in question in the drop down menu on PS6 on my Window 98 box, but when I go to the fonts folder to grab them to load them to my other machine, , they are not listed in the fonts folder. The fonts in question are the complete set of the ITC New Baskerville fonts, so replacing them is quite expensive. I have the two machines networked together, but really only use the other box for storage as I have about 200GB of disks there. The machine is just not powerful enough anymore to really use. I just happened to have PS6 still loaded there. I need to use these fonts for a customer project and when I went to use them on 7 and I couldn't find them. I knew that I used to have them on 6, so I just thought I would copy them and move them, but... can't see them to move them. Very odd.

I've looked in the common files/adobe folder and viewed the font list and don't see them there either. A real mystery. Anyone ever encountered this?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've had problems with fonts being named different than the actual font file name. Like, I had a font called like TT48783.ttf but the font was actually called Aldine 721.

It sounds like you copied all the fonts from one machine to another though...

I was going to tell you to look in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts but you've already done that. Very very weird problem... Not sure how to go about fixing it.

Try doing a system search for *.ttf

Your fonts may be in some weird place nobody even knows about...

I went back into the common files again and I found where I had overlooked the entry. As you said, fonts aren't always named as you would expect. So the good news? They are installed and working. LOL

Thanks for your reply
