does anyone know the diff.. is fireworks more photoshop based? then why do u need flash if u can animate in fireworks
i just need quick simple answers .. like http://www.shiver7.com its sweet.. wat did they use fireworks?

Well the graphics were probably made in Fireworks but the animation done in Flash. Flash offers many things that Fireworks doesn't, like a timeline, actionscripting, tweening. Flash is a VERY complex animation program. Fireworks has very limited animating capabilities. I haven't really ever used Fireworks, but I imagine it's animation features are somewhat like what Adobe's ImageReady can do.

ya... v 2 of blackout (working on it).. ill have flash on it..
i got how to do nice rollovers. taht like dont abruptly stop, but carry out the whole clip of the button
and i got 30day trial of fireworks.. b4 i get it from a friend (crazy web designer in Russia.. he know my dad (and yes i was born in moscow, russia)

Fireworks is very similar to PS (I think the blur tool is better) even the layout is similar, if you have used PS you will have no problems with fireworks. Wayne

i guess not if my parents were from pakistan, visiting india.. lol
but yes, i lived there 10 years

fireworks = photoshop
freehand = illustrator
the main advantage ofusing all macromedia products is the higher compatibility when switching
