hello, i want to place the word "NIKHIL" in the background scenery and i wanted to put a shadow of the word "nikhil" so i duplicated the word "nikhil" so now how will i fill the whole word with black? i tried selecting the duplicate layer then selected "fill" and then i selected black but the whole photo turned into black....so what should i do?

Ctrl click the layer to select the text, then fill the selection.
