Ok, I'm stumped. Today, I added some actions to my photo creations folder. Now Elements won't load. I get an error that just says the program has caused an error and Windows will close it.

I have removed the new actions, renamed the .db3 files back to original, rebooted, spun in circles 2 times and it still doesn't restart.

So, I downloaded the installation files, but there is no repair/reinstall option. I just get the option to uninstall and deactivate.

can I uninstall and reinstall without deactivating?
is there a better way to repair the installation?

It shouldn't be this time consuming.

Many thanks!

Cant be sure of the cause behind the error so cant give any help when it comes repair. At a guess it would be the altering of the .db3 files.

Unfortunately I think your going to have to go down the uninstall and deactivate road.

I doubt it will take up much more time than a reinstall.
