well i'm trying to draw the shapes from the folowing page www.curvekillaz.com ; i cant figure out which tool to use to make the red and white shapes. i'm lost. not new to photoshop (well cutting things out  ) but definetly new to shapes. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Yeah you have to use one of those. I recommend using the pen tool because it will produce a vector shape instead of a raster bitmap. I guess you could also use a series of distorted rectangles as well. (Make a rectangle and go to Edit - Transform Path - Distort)
