Hey everyone--I edited my image to create a depth of field look--so the person in the image is in focus and everything else is out of focus. however while cleaning up, i realized after i was finish that a few parts of the out of focus areas were in focus (which is not what i wanted). i looked up online but could only find how to turn a blurry area back into focus, but not the other way around--any ideas?

just to clarify, i have something in focus but want to just turn that part back out of focus. thanks!

Easiest way would be selecting the area you want to modify - most likely with some feather, depending on your picture. And apply a gaussian blur by Filter > Blur Gaussian Blur.

Like Rarity suggests. Shuffle through the blur modes, match the grain and...

I would suggest, that depending upon method used for depth of field, it may be more of a masking issue, rather than a correct blur issue.

What have been your steps so far?

Paint with the Blur tool. Looks like a water drop in the tool panel.
