Dell XPS poor performance

I got a Dell XPS 400
Pentium R
3.20 Ghz Processor Speed
2 GB RAM
250 GB Hard Drive

I started to work with Photoshop CS5 very heavily in the last year and I got a real poor performance since with very slow speed and somethimes crashes.
I increased the virtual memory, use of RAM on Photo Shop and defragmented the hard drive.
What else shouyld I do?
