I am trying to take out an area of a photo. I have it selected. I want that area deleted and replaced with something similar to it's surroundings.
I have a picture of a barn... there is a large white post that I don't want there. The post is surrounded by flowers. I'd like it to look like a big patch of flowers with no post.
Any suggestions on how this novice might be able to do this are greatly appreciated. |

I used the patch tool to take out that post and put in flowers, but there's kind of a white haze over where the post was. Any idea what that is and how to get rid of it??
Thanks. |

so, behind the top of the post is probably barn , towards the bottom, flowers. In this case I wouldn't even bother deleting the post.
the tool you need to use is the clone stamp tool. It allows you to sample from a location in the image, and then paint with a brush that imports the area arounf where you sampled.
alt-click to choose a sample location, then pain like a normal brush. the tol is about 1/2 way down the toolbox, left column.
It'll just take a few tries to get the boards of the barn lined up right.
If you could post a pic, I can help more specifically. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |
