what happened to ctrl clicking layers in the layer pallet to select all transparent pixels? is there any way to do this powerfull shortcut anymore?

Hey I ran into the same problem, it looked as though it was removed however it is still there, only works a little differently.
Basically, instead of clicking anywhere on the layer, you have to click the box with the brush Icon,or the text Icon if its text.
This will select any visable pixels.

Thanks jiteye your right. They've just changed it sightly but when your used to working a certain way it can be off putting when Adobe tinkers with the way the tools work in the new versions
