For myself actually. To make a long story short, is photoshop what I should use to create it? I'd like it to be scalable, vector I believe it's called, but wouldn't Illustrator be a better choice for this? The logo will probably be some fancy text, with a bit of a effect, and a very simple identification mark.

Nothing out of the ordinary or breathtaking, just something simple and to the point.

Something similiar to these: http://www.logodesignworks.com/consulting-logos.htm

Thanks! Birthday Big Grin

Well I have Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

InDesign and Illustrator seem to be very similiar. I like the laters easier interface though, not to mention you can do effects reminiscent of Photoshop.

InDesign is a desktop publishing program, whereas Illustrator is a vector creating program.
Two different things.
Illustrator is the program to create your logos with.
InDesign to create your booklets with

Yeah, I suppose you COULD use Illustrator to do both, but that's not what it's supposed to do. Oh well, vectors here I come!
