"Could not transform the path because the selected portion does not enclose any pixels."
What????
Why am I able to free-transform sometimes and not others? I am doing it the exact same way, in the exact same layer. The layer is highlighted. I know there are pixels in it because if I click on the little eyeball, the pixels go away and my screen turns blank.
It wouldn't be so bad if it did this every time, but just some of the time is enough to drive me mad!!!
Does anyone know what causes this? I am using CS 5.1.
Thanks for your help |

Not sure whats happening in your situation without a bit more info on what your working on, whats on the layer and what type of layer it is etc.
Anyway try holding down ctrl and left click the layer thumbnail of your current layer. This will select all pixels on the layer you are working on and gives you a more accurate idea of what is there; as sometimes layers can create false impressions.
Unless something really strange is going on I believe Photoshop is telling you the truth about no pixels and deceiving you in a different way. |
