how do i change the actual color of an image. i dont want to paint it in ... i actually want to change it and keep everything the same. cant really find out how andneed help plzz

use the color replacement tool. It is under your paint brush. You can select at the top drop down menu to relace color/luminosity/hue or saturation.
Choose color and it will only replace the color, not the luminosity. This means that all the details will remain the same.
