Please help! I am at wits end. I have been working on CS3 for a couple of years. All of a sudden it is giving me problems. I can't edit a new layer. When I open a photo I can edit the background layer and a duplicate layer, but the moment I try to create a new layer (text or shape for example) none of the features or tools are working. I have reset my PS settings to default, I made sure I am in RGB mode, I have done everything I could find on similar forums, still no luck. Would it help to reinstall PS? I would really appreciate your help as this is making it impossible for me to work. |

Welcome to the forum. Have you trashed your preferences file? Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift whilst opening Photoshop, it should offer you the choice. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Yes, I have done that. I have searched more on google and it seems it might have something to do with the fact I upgraded my MAC OS to Snow Leopard (though it worked fine for a day or two after the upgrade). Seems like I might have to upgrade my PS now also. Frustrating! |

How annoying and yet so typical
Hope you sort it with the upgrade. Let us know if you do/don't. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
