I have an issue with Abobe Bridge! I work with Bridge over an network and have an huge archive of folders .NEF files there. Since the archive is available from a number of computers the cache is exported and stored in each folder. This due to the long time it would take for each computer to make it's own cache when first accessing it.
So, my problem is this. Since the network is much slower than my local computer I almost always import first to my local HD and do the browse there. So far, no problem. Bridge extracts thumbnails and previews in no time every time I access the folder. However -when I move the folder to the network disk (the hidden .BridgeCachet along) Bridge thinks it has to make a set of previews, thumbnails and cache export... and it takes sooo much time!
Why is this? Can I avoid it somehow and keep the previews, thumbnails and cache-file from my local disk when moving the folder? |
