brush/eraser erases outside of tip

just wondering if there's some way to make it so when i use a brush/eraser ONLY the stuff within the brush icon/tip is painted/erased. it always lightly paints/erases stuff outside of it. only way i can describe it is it like bleeds out. hope u this is understandable. thanks

Increase brush hardness to 100%?

All brushes have an anti-aliased edge. This may be what you are seeing.
You could try using the pencil tool. I think it’s the only paint tool with a truly hard edge.
