O.K. Please don't stop reading I need help!
After having trouble while trying to merge HDR images I experienced problems. The images would turn white after coming up in the dialog box right before opening in CS4.

Then this morning I tried to open up an image in camera raw and a dialog box came up describing something no excuses I didn't read it as normal for me. Now my blacks are really light and when you try to increase them via the black slider they turn blue. Some are blues even when you just open them up in camera raw.

I have uninstalled CS4 a number of times and re-installed but it's of no use.
I even went so far as to delete registry entries regarding PS but still no help.

Thanks in advance,
Bryan

It was the toggle switch in camera raw was on showing the loss of detail in the image. DOH!
