Hi folks,
I am a beginner to photoshop. I have what I think is a relatively simple question, but I don't know the right search terms to look for own answers, or weather this is the right topic in the forum!
I want to scan an image, create an outline around the image, and then fill in the outline with color.
For example, I want to scan an image of a leaf. Then, I would like to create an outline of this image, or perhaps a simple line rendering, with the outline, stem, veins, and so on. Then I would like to fill in the outline with different colors, and finally save the new digital image as a jpeg or similar file.
Is this possible?
Advice or guidance to a usefull tutorial would be appreciated.

Of course you can do this with Photoshop, but it sounds to me that you'd be happier with the results if you used Illustrator. In particular CS4, it has a new tool called the 'blob brush tool' you could trace the leaf, add the veins etc. and either color the fill in Illustrator or copy the linework to Photoshop to color _________________ there is no finish line
