hello i need help putting text in a selected area in this case this swash..i want to add the text so that it fills the area somewhat perfectly as it gets smaller..

yeah, anything's possible. edit | transform | warp afyter typing along a path which followed the bottom of the swoosh.

to type on a path: using the pen tool, draw a curvy shape, then select the text tool, and when the text cursor gets close to the path it will change, andicating you can type along the path.

I'm not sure what versions of PS have warp, if you have an older version it may not be available to you. I that case, skew or distort will help a bit, though not quite as well.
