Hi!
I've been trying to work out how I can add a reflection to an image of a car (such as in the photo attached). I want to be able to take a photo of a car, cut it out (easy), add a black background to the canvas (easy), and then somehow create a reduced opacity reflection from the car layer.
Does anybody know how / have any tutorials anywhere on how to do this?

hmmm duplicate the car layer and press ctlr+t
now right click on mouse and hit flip vertical
then rotate / move it till u get the desired reflection..
* black backgrounds are not so good cuz ull need to put car shadow :/...

Did you ever get this to work- I know it's been 4 years. I'm trying to do the same thing. I also flipped vertical & rotated but that doesn't work. Please email me if you figured it out.

Thats about how I would do it. Duplicate the layer first, then apply the transformations to the duplicated layer. Once you have the car flipped upside down, you'll have to play with positioning a bit and adjust opacity and make it look like a decent reflection. you might drag the reflected layer underneath the original car layer too...that might help.
