My first post and I need your expertise...
I am adding a Cintiq monitor for retouching and I wanted to have the image for retouching on the Cintiq (obviously) and my Eizo monitor for the Photoshop tools and palettes and my NEC for other programs like Mail, so I can do business work as well when I am retouching.
After perusing the Apple Discussion Forums, it seems like I will be adding a second video card to be able to handle the three monitors. So, for what I want to do, does the Cintiq (having retouched image) and the Eizo (having PS tools/palette) need to both be on the same card?
Right now I have a Radeon ATI 4870 which powers both the Eizo and NEC fine.
I have a Mac Pro Quad Core (early 2009), 2.66 Ghz, 8 GB RAM, 512 MB VRAM on the Radeon. I have PS CS 4 but will upgrade to CS5 I am sure. I am running Mac OSX 10.6.2
Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance for your time!
