I'm trying to create an action and maybe eventually a droplet. Not too experienced with Photoshop automation.
Here's what I'm trying to do.
I have a base image of an empty picture frame on a wall that is centered.
I have a folder of images at the correct aspect ratio to fit in the frame.
I would like to automate the process of creating a new set of images of the the simple images resized and centered in the frame.
Hopefully my explanation is clear. Here is the end result.
Imagine the picture frame and mat as the base image and the actual black and white photograph is another file placed on top of the base frame images.
Now I just need to figure out how to automate this for a large number of images. |

Look up variables and data sets in the help files. It's too lengthy to explain here. |

I was able to achieve what I needed to by following a tutorial on batch adding logos to an image.
Instead of adding a logo I added the base frame image then switched the layer order so the photo is on top then resized over the now base frame image.
It still needs tweaking but I can make it work.
I look into variables and data sets to see if I can use that to my advantage.
Here's the tutorial I based my action on.
