The mask layer is the best way to accomplish this.
I find everything else to be pretty inaccurate...although I am a bit on the obsessive side.
obsessive is good with pute art, if I am working quickly on something that is not heartfelt, the easy way is ok, but when something touches me, it has to be pixel perfect, and I MEAN pixel!, want it right/blended magnify and take it out pixel at a time, in the long run the more work you put in, the more you get out.
